Maggie Scobie

Maggie has been a member of the Institute for the Advancement of Service since 1988.  She is currently Secretary of the Institute's board of directors and a member of The Clarion Way Programs faculty.  Additionally, Maggie serves as a member of the Energy Triangle - a group that meditates together regularly on behalf of the Institute. Over her many years of involvement, Maggie has co-led courses and workshops on meditation, dreams, death and dying, the soul and service, group consciousness, and working in partnership with nature.  She has served as coordinator of leadership training programs for teenagers, as coordinator of children’s programs, and as co-leader of parenting classes.

In 2016, because of her keen ability to share The Trilogy books and their teachings with foreign audiences, Maggie was appointed as Ambassador of The Soul and Service Trilogy. In this role, she disseminates The Trilogy books internationally, as well as speaks with people from countries beyond the U.S. about The Trilogy teachings and shares with them information about the Institute's courses and outreach programs.

Maggie holds a graduate degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology from the University of Florida. She has worked as a licensed psychologist in schools with special needs children and with incarcerated teens, and currently has a private practice working with the critically ill and dying. Maggie has also been a professional astrologer for more than 25 years.

Maggie's service has taken her around the world.  In the 1980s, she volunteered in orphanages in India, Nepal, and South America. Since 2000, she has been the Coordinator of Frontier Horizon, a humanitarian aid organization that brings orphans on travel programs to the United States from Nicaragua, Ukraine, and Kenya. Maggie has also traveled for several years to India and Nepal to support children in orphanages of Bon Buddhism.
